It has just crossed the Atlantic again, and even beat its own speed record while crossing between Las Palmas and Saint Martin in 22 days - four days better than its previous attempt. Over the 2,867 miles of the course, the multihull thus sailed at the average speed of 5.3 knots.
After its West-Indian stopover, the catamaran reached Miami to launch into a scientific expedition along the Gulf Stream, called ‘Planet Solar Deep Water’ covering the length of the famous current for more than 8,000 km in three months, to reach Bergen, in Norway.
