With his partner Elena Brambilla, they are preparing a round the world trip on a catamaran. A very nice idea. But this circumnavigation is original, for several reasons. Firstly, Wojtek Czyz and Elena are top-level athletes. Wojtek is even a multiple world champion...at the Paralympics. He has won three gold medals, one silver and two bronzes in three Paralympic Games, and through mixing with disabled athletes, has a good idea of how they (the disabled) are perceived in the different countries of the world...
From this grew the idea of their round the world voyage aboard ‘Imagine’, their Lagoon 410 catamaran: setting off to meet people with disabilities... The idea is to use the boat, by turning it into a consulting room during their stopovers for the practitioners encountered in the four corners of the world. There will even be a prosthetics workshop aboard, with a 3D printer... When we told you it’s a nice project...
The couple will be leaving from Hamburg this month for a round the world voyage planned to take four years...
