The 4th edition of the Multihull Boat Show at La Grande Motte was a real success. To such a point that the builders, exhibitors, organisers and the town council have decided by mutual agreement to convert this successful try: the 2014 edition will remain in the Mediterranean, and the seaside town will once again welcome the essential annual rendezvous for multihull enthusiasts.

La Grande Motte 2014
Unique in the world, this international show has become the essential event, where the builders want to present their new boats as a preview, to a public consisting of enthusiasts and professionals. And as it happens, we should once again be particularly spoilt for this edition, with a few new boats expected. Although it is obviously too early to give any official information (the builders like to keep their little secrets), we would like to bet that Nautitech will be present with its major new boat, the Open 40, which is now selling well, although the n°1 is not yet in the water. Lagoon plans to launch its new motor catamaran (the 620 Motor Yacht) in early spring. If it is ready, it should make its debut at the show.
The brand new Outremer 45 will not be in the water, but as the boatyard is a few hundred metres from the show, it should be possible (by negotiating with the charming Outremer team) to go and visit it, whilst it is less than a month away from its launch. Our friends from the Golden Oldies will of course be present. They will be presenting a few of the ocean racing wonders from the 80s. Cat, trimaran, proa? For the moment, it’s a secret which is better guarded than Fort Knox.
Numerous other surprises await the visitors, including a few new boats promised by certain builders... But for the moment they refuse to tell us more. We are therefore condemned to wait, but we can already tell you that you mustn’t miss this new edition under any circumstances...

Practical Boat Show
We will be meeting in La Grande Motte from 23rd to 27th April 2014, from 10 am to 7 pm. The admission fee is still 6 euros and free of charge for under-16s and students.
To get there, nothing is simpler: Montpellier airport and railway station are just a few kilometres away. Marseille airport is 130 km away. And to spend the night, there is a plethora of hotels: it’s a holiday resort, and you will be spoilt for choice (www.lagrandemotte-tourisme.com).
