Bear away by about 10°, to gain power and speed.

All your crew members are ready

All your crew members are ready and know what they have to do. One must be ready to sheet in the genoa, whilst another is ready to free the other sheet. The mainsail will look after itself…Lee oh!

The genoa can be left backed

The genoa can be left backed for a while so as not to miss the tack.

you can free the old genoa sheet

Once the boat is on the other tack, you can free the old genoa sheet and sheet in the new one.

Bear away to pick up speed

Bear away to pick up speed before coming back on course and trimming the sails and traveller…
