The summer months are the nicest in terms of weather, but they are also the busiest for tourism… So, it is harder (even impossible) to be alone in an anchorage !
By the end of August, there is a real threat of storms and gusts of wind. Beware: when the Mediterranean becomes angry, it is best to stay out of the way! That’s why you must exercise common sense, and keep an ear out for the weather forecasts. Do not overestimate your capacities or those of your crew. The winds - mistral, tramontane, meltem, sirocco, libeccio - can all reach gale force, so you must be wary at all times.
