- When: Dry season: from November to June. Rainy season from July to October… But the Cape Verde climate is strongly influenced by the winds from the Sahara, which are responsible for the extreme aridity and the long dry periods…

- Practical: Health: no vaccinations required, no malaria.

Official languages: Portuguese; spoken: Creole
Food is essentially based on fish, however fruit and vegetables can be found easily in the rural areas.
Dominant religion: catholic (more than 80%)
