An eco-designed trimaran

An eco-designed trimaran

Do you know the Tricat? Roland Jourdain and his team wanted to build Gwalaz, the first eco-designed trimaran, from the plans of these sporty little trimarans.

In fact this 7.11 metre trimaran has been built from flax fibre, cork, balsa and partially bio-sourced resin. A boat whose construction tries to get as far away as possible from fossil resources, and is thought out from the design stage with recycling in mind...
And the good news it is that this rather special Tricat was entrusted to three slightly crazy surfers (including Ronan Gladu, a really brilliant photographer) who went to have fun with it around Brittany, and are making a film, which should be worth watching!
Moreover, you can see the first episode of the film on the Multihulls World web site.
