Change at the top, at Fountaine-Pajot.

38 years ago, Jean-François Fountaine created a boatyard with the aim of building multihulls. Ridiculous at the time!

Except that nearly four decades later, cruising catamarans have the wind in their sails, largely thanks to a few of these brilliant visionaries. Recently elected mayor of La Rochelle, Jean-François Fountaine has logically decided to quit the operational side of his company, whilst remaining President of the board of directors, and he will be succeeded as managing director by Nicolas Gardies, who has worked for the company for 10 years, seconded by Romain Motteau, the assistant managing director. In a few weeks’ time, the company will be presenting its brand new Saba 50, and will be investing 7 million euros between now and 2016 in the launch of new models.
