The International Multihull Boat Show: already the 6th edition

It’s the show that everyone envies us: the International Multihull Boat Show this year will allow all multihull lovers to meet up ‘as a family’...

It’s already the sixth edition of this boat show, which has become an absolute ‘must’, and will this year again be held in La Grande Motte, France, just a stone’s throw from Montpelier International Airport. We will therefore all be meeting up again to celebrate cats, trimarans and even proas, from 15th to 19th April 2015.

La Grande Motte 2015

A boat show uniquely dedicated to multihulls? The idea seemed foolish, yet we have to admit that it has been a real success. Last year, 48% of the visitors came from abroad, to find the boat of their dreams. It must be said that there are few places in the world where you can see around sixty multihulls in the same place...
It is still too early to have an exact list of the builders who will be present, but here is what we can already tell you, as a preview:
There will again be numerous new boats presented this year, including the Italian Comet Cat 37, the German Slyder 47, the Spanish FlashCat 52 Sail, as well as the Bali 4.2, the Leopard 40 and 51PC for their European premiere, and perhaps even Fountaine Pajot’s brand new MY 37 motor catamaran. Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Nautitech, Leopard will of course be present in large numbers, with a major part of their ranges, as well as Outremer as the locals, and Catana.
Other boats are expected, but it is still too early to announce them officially. We can already tell you that some South African and Italian builders will be amongst the ranks, and that several one-off catamarans could also make the trip.
We can therefore hope that the record for boats presented will be beaten and that the festival will be a good one...

But the show is not limited to the boats presented. There is also the architect-designer’s club and the charter company area which are again full, as well as all the stands which will allow you to choose, finance, insure and prepare your boat. Finally, our friends from the Golden Oldies will also be present. This year, they will be presenting a few of the ocean racing wonders from the 80s. Cat, trimaran, proa? For the moment, it’s top secret...

Last of all, note that Multihulls World will of course be present, and will be taking advantage of the event to celebrate our 30th anniversary! A good opportunity to provide numerous activities and surprises...to be discovered at the show!

We will be meeting at La Grande Motte from 15th to 19th April 2015, from 10am to 7pm (6pm close on Sunday). Entry price is 7 euros, and free for under-16s and students.
To get there, nothing is simpler: Montpellier airport and railway station are just a few kilometers away. Marseille airport is 130 km away. And to spend the night, there is a plethora of hotels: it’s a holiday resort, and you will be spoilt for choice (www.lagrandemotte-tourisme.com).
