C Class – The Little Cup is coming...

The 27th edition of the Little Cup, the world C Class catamaran championship, will be held in Geneva next September.

Since 1961, this regatta, which is commonly called the Little America’s Cup, is a real challenge, both human and technological, raced on catamarans 7.62 meters long and 4.26 meters wide, whose sail area cannot exceed 27.8m². A rule which appears simple, but which on the contrary allows the engineers to wear out their brains to create the ultimate machine... The proof – the C Class boats have been sailing on foils and using wing masts for over thirty years!

As in previous years, the cream of the racers will be present on the water, including some of the stars of the ‘real’ America’s Cup, the holder of the title being none other than Franck Cammas, signed up with Team France to race in Bermuda in 2017, in the AC 62. The skipper will again be at the start on his faithful Groupama C, faced with an armada ready to do battle...
