Nautitech Open 46 catamaran
We explained it a while ago – a new 45-foot catamaran was missing from the Nautitech range, to fit between the very successful Open 40 and the luxurious 48-footer.
The company's new catamaran will therefore be a 46-footer, and was announced at the International Multihull Boat Show. As its name indicates, we will of course find once again the open configuration which has been so successful on the 40, and has literally been requested by users. The volume should be really impressive in the cockpit/saloon area, and allow lots of friends to be welcomed when at anchor... The builder is offering the Open 46 in a classic 4-cabin version or a 3-cabin version with one hull entirely dedicated to the owner. In the standard version, the Open 46 will be equipped with two steering wheels situated at the aft end of the hulls, as is traditional aboard Nautitechs, but a version with a flybridge is also planned.
With the takeover by Bavaria and access to the German builder’s network, Nautitech catamarans has come through a difficult period and is doubling its production capacity to be able to meet the demand from its clientele. There is no doubt that the Open 46, which we should see at the end of the year, will be a new driving force in the company’s growth.
