Catathai 43 catamaran, on the way to a long-term voyage
Catathai, based in Thailand, likes to listen to its customers, and above all, succeed in offering them the boat they are really looking for.
The new Catathai 43 Grand Voyage catamaran is thus the result of very precise specifications drawn up by the owners, Corinne and Michel, as well as the work of the architects Jean & Frasca Design, and the builder. The idea here was not to revolutionize the ocean cruising boat, but to develop it, and give the boat the qualities that the owners considered essential.
The coachroof, equipped with wide handrails which also act as sunshades, is extended by a bimini, which carries the solar panels. It shelters a very well-ventilated, bright saloon, on the same level as the exterior cockpit, to provide 30m² of covered area. The big galley is useable at sea, the chart table is worthy of the name, and there is a genuine hanging locker for foul-weather gear...
All the control lines are led back to the cockpit, to make shorthanded cruising easier. The n°1 in the series is currently being built.
