Aventura 23 catamaran : A coaster with the sweet smell of adventure...
At the 2000 Paris Boat Show where this little catamaran was on display, she drew the attention of many visitors. She can be carried since she can be disassembled, the Aventura 23 catamaran is a liveaboard boat and her price is very attractive. Here is a guided tour of a catamaran that is more than ever in tune with her time.
Multihulls makers are always in search of solutions to create an alternative for the problem of crowded, expensive harbors. We’re familiar with folding trimarans, like the American Corsair or the Danish Dragonfly. Aventura is a catamaran and already has a story. She was Jacques Fauroux’s brainchild back in 1986, when she won a contest organized by our colleagues from the magazine “Bateaux”. She was dubbed the Camping-Cat, with specifications stipulating a liveaboard trailer multihull under 7 meters long, for a fixed budget and about 10 Camping-Cats were built. Last year, Go Catamarans decided to resume production of this little boat. The Camping-Cat became the catamaran Aventura 23, thereby rising again from her ashes. In fact, there are very few changes in comparison with her predecessor.
