This Outremer 50 standard designed by Gerard Danson has been first launched in 1998.
The 50 STD has a bigger beam – 60cm more – compared to the classic Outremer 50 Light, the result is a larger cockpit and saloon which could accept 12 peaople onboard !!
The present Swedish owner has owned her from 2008 until now.
Previously owned by a french owner who made an extensive refit in 2006 prior to an Atlantic one year tour 2007 with his family.
The present owner made a refit 2008/2009 preparing for an around the world tour for 2 years 2009/2011 with the Blue Water Rally, leaving and returning to France and has after this date use her for familly trip in the Baltic Sea for summer vacations only. She has been taken up on dry land every winter for yearly service including yearly antifouling. She has never been chartered out, only used for private family purpose.
This Outremer 50 STD has an attractive layout with the starboard hull dedicated to master couple usage and port hull for guest usage. Starboard hull has a big aft queen size bed cabin, electrical WC, 220 V single) and an integrated WC/shower room.
Both hulls have integrated crash boxes for washing and drying machines, big separate shower room and in the front a big standing headroom storage/utility area which also holds the 220 V 8 kW generator and water maker easily available for service.
The port hull holds three separate sleeping cabins. The main saloon area have a big navigation table with all instruments, a big saloon/dinner table and a kitchen area with all needed appliances including oven, fridge and big freezer.
She has been crefuly maintaed and equipped during the circum navigation :
- New set of sail in 2009
- New rigging in 2012
The cockpit is also very big and has a very nice semi circle layout with two smaller tables, that can easily be combined to one long table where up to 12 people can be seated together.
In the aft the davits holds the 3.5 meter Hypalon dinghy with a 20 hp Yamaha engine, that easily planes in 15 – 20 knots with 2 people on board.
