Multihulls World has decided to rally in support of the ‘500 boats for 500 families’ operation. This operation in support of Bangladesh will help 500 families regain their means of working and allow them to return to sea in safe boats…
On 15th November 2007, Hurricane Sidr hit Bangladesh with exceptional violence, resulting in 10,000 victims, (about a thousand of them fishermen), and millions of inhabitants evacuated. A fantastic support movement is being created to help these families regain their means of working. Marc Van Peteghem is part of this. This talented naval architect needs no introduction; he is renowned for both his racing and cruising boats. He has personally put a lot of time and effort into the ‘500 boats for 500 families’ operation, not just by designing this fishing boat, but also, and above all, by mobilising the energies so that the dream can become a reality.
