Prometa boat system
18 jun 2008
Prometa Boat System is offering a preview of a ‘Trawlivarius’ range of ocean-going trawler catamarans in aluminium, using the ‘strong&light’ process. The Trawlivarius are economical, ecological and comfortable, and have been designed for distant, long-term cruising. The two models, 20m and 24m, can be equipped with a bipod rig with carbon mast or an entirely automated kite traction system. The Trawlivarius will be built in a new production unit.
With the Banana 465 (centreboard) and the Banana 50, Prometa Boat System is enlarging its range of aluminium sailing catamarans. A Banana 43 being built at the moment is for sale and will be available in autumn 2008.
The company is still building the Trawler Cat 43 in thick aluminium and is planning development of the range for 2009 from 48 – 52 and 57 feet.
