A week after leaving the Brittany coast aboard a cargo ship, the ‘Hydroptère’ was launched in the Mediterranean to attack the absolute speed record under sail.
After assembly and the first tests in the ‘Rade de Toulon’, the ‘flying boat’ should quickly attack its record campaign, from its home port of Marseille…
Note that the absolute speed record is now held by the windsurfer Antoine Albeau, with a run at 49.09 knots.
