Bali Catamarans, the beginning!

It’s now official – the announcement was made at the multihull boat show – the Catana group is launching a new range of catamarans, called Bali Catamarans. The first boat in the range is a 45-footer, and it will be followed by a smaller cat (probably around 40 feet) then a bigger one (around 50 feet). The Bali range inherits the genes of the Catanas. We should therefore see fast, seaworthy boats, even though a few compromises have had to be made so that the price would be appropriate for the market, because the Balis are in direct competition with the Lagoons, Fountaines, Nautitechs and Léopards...
In concrete terms, there are no daggerboards on the Balis, but a hull designed by Xavier Fay (who worked on the Lagoon 380), a forward cockpit and the choice of a classic steering position, or one on a flybridge. A boat which should appeal to both private owners and charter companies. The builder hopes eventually to produce between 60 and 80 catamarans a year.
You will be able to see the first Bali 4.5 at the next Cannes boat show.
