On the drawing board, we find the accommodation for 6 guests and 2 crew from a 20-meter monohull, but the comparison stops there. The stowage volumes provided by the length and above all the outriggers, is infinitely superior, for storing various exploration kit, such as kayaks, motorbikes, and microlights. The out-of-the-ordinary seakeeping qualities, the total absence of rolling, the easy passage through the waves are all helped by flexible propulsion. An 1150 hp Caterpillar gives a top speed of 23 knots and a range of over 6,000 miles at 12 knots. For maneuvers, 2 x 110 hp engines are fitted in the hulls, to serve as auxiliary engines at slow speeds. The looks are of course the icing on the cake.
