Formerly built in China under the names MC² 53, MC² 60 and MC²78, the Bañuls catamarans are now going to be produced in Thailand, in the Alibi boatyard. It must be said that these fast boats, designed by Renaud Bañuls, are quite close in their philosophy to the Alibi catamarans. The Bañuls 53, 60 and 78 are fast, (the n°1 60 in the series has just finished second in the 2016 Rolex China Race, ahead of the TP52, Humpfreys 54 and Swan 82...) semi-custom catamarans offering comfortable accommodation for long-term cruising. Designed by and for a demanding owner, passionate about the sea, the Bañuls 60 regularly sails at over 30 knots. Aboard, the averages are impressive, even in very light weather, as it sails at 10 knots in the slightest breeze.
