An emblematic photo of Phaedo, a catamaran skilfully sailed by its owner in races all the year round. Unfortunately, the beautiful orange cat lost its mast during the Pacific crossing between Los Angeles and Honolulu, under full main. However at that moment in the race, the boat was a long way ahead of the fleet, only led by a 100-foot super-maxi, a Volvo 70 and a former Orma 60…

But before this mishap (nobody was wounded on board), Phaedo had nevertheless beaten its record for the distance covered in 24 hours, with a run of 427 miles... Not bad for a cruising cat!

Knowing the wishes of both crew and owner, there is no doubt that we will very soon see the boat racing again…
