Reichel/Pugh Studio is launching into multihulls with this very attractive 45-foot catamaran, whose aim is very clearly performance.
This ‘Open’ cruiser/racer doesn’t however neglect the accommodation, with three double cabins and two heads, a galley and a saloon in the hulls. The open cockpit allows easy maneuvering for the crew when racing, but also offers an undeniable advantage in terms of weight. The 45 is thus advertised at 5.3 tonnes, unladen.
When you know about the qualities of the boats coming from Reichel/Pugh’s drawing board (America3, Melges 32, 24, 17, 20 and 14, Alfa Romeo 100', Wild Oats XI…) you can see why we can’t wait to test one of their fast multihulls!
