Motuatua: We’re off again!

We left St. Anne at the beginning of February, and after a few stops, arrived in Dominica.

The island is superb, and we spent several days there, to see the numerous waterfalls and hot springs, including Titou Gorges, Ti Cwen, Emerald Pool, etc. We had been told, and it proved to be right, that it’s the interior of Dominica that should be visited! It’s very beautiful, even though we weren’t alone at these sites, as the passengers from two cruise boats accompanied us... In the anchorage at Roseau, we saved a boat! In fact a German monohull had dragged with nobody aboard, and my captain set off valiantly to retrieve it with the dinghy, and tied it up to our boat whilst waiting for the owner to return. He arrived two hours later, a little shocked but very pleased, knowing that without us, his boat could have gone a long, long way out to sea. The next day, we left for Marie Galante, where we rented a car. The island is very attractive, with friendly inhabitants, some nice beaches and above all, lots of rum distilleries, including my man’s favorite: l'Habitation Père Labat. Needless to say, a stop for a visit-tasting-purchase was necessary. Then we set off towards the very pleasant Feuillère beach, where the children let off steam whilst the parents enjoyed a little siesta...
