Presented by Clément Himily, Managing Director of the Sailing Business Unit, and Arnaud Devergne, Director of the NEO program, this future Mediterranean service and refit center will occupy a 161,500 sq ft (15,000 m²) site, initially featuring 23,700 sq ft (2,200 m²) of buildings. A further expansion of 107,700 sq ft (10,000 m²) is also under consideration.
Operations are scheduled to begin in mid-2029. The facility will draw on the expertise of BMS, a specialist in refitting large catamarans that joined the Group in October 2025. Services will include commissioning new yachts, maintenance, customization and reconditioning. While the press release focuses on yachts ranging from 60 to 80 feet, Clément Himily told us that multihulls from 55 feet upward could also be accommodated.
The new facility will support the expansion of NEO, Groupe Beneteau's yacht reconditioning program, which aims to process 130 yachts annually by 2030, including around ten large multihulls at Canet-en-Roussillon. A second phase could include an experience center designed to train Owners and crews in boat handling, safety and offshore sailing. Additional marina berths are also planned.
Another figure revealed during the Group's announcement: the site's workforce could eventually grow from 20 to 80 employees.
