A Lightweight and Efficient Powercat
It’s hard to imagine a better body of water than off Fort Lauderdale to test the HammerCat 35HH. Here, large center-consoles are a common sight, and transoms loaded with three, four, or sometimes even more outboard motors no longer come as a surprise to anyone. On the opposite side of the Gulf Stream, the Bahamas offer a fantastic playground for these fast powercats capable of devouring the miles. The one we tested fits perfectly into this world, except that it focuses more on lightweight, meticulous construction than on the race for power.

His extensive experience with multihulls and the U.S. market led him to question the evolution of high-speed powercats: rather than constantly adding more power, why not start by building lighter and more efficient boats?
