The TH36 was the first (and last?) power catamaran from the American brand Four Winns and it caused quite a sensation when it was launched three years ago. Testers were unanimous about the seaworthiness of the hull designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design and the pleasure of handling the new powercat, and it was named Multihull Of The Year in the Power category in 2023.
The TH38, now wearing the Jeanneau badge, retains all the qualities of its predecessor and features a fully enclosed windshield, while maintaining the convenience of the central walkway. The modular sunbathing areas, outdoor galley, and two double cabins are still part of the inventory.
For now, the foiling system tested on the previous TH36 no longer seems to be on the plans, but during our test sail off Cannes, we found that the boat offers exceptional handling with the twin 350 HP Mercury engine setup. A full test report will be published in a forthcoming issue!
