Champions Race: the legend is back

Speed, excitement, high-tech boats and fantastic skippers, this is the equation perfected by Roland Gaebler, the Tornado champion, to show that sailing and spectacle can go together. The first race will take place at Lindau. It must be said that the conditions there are ideal for creating a real, very visual nautical stadium for the spectators, which will be clearly sporty for the crews. The choice of boat has fallen on the Tornado (the version with twin trapezes and a gennaker), a really spectacular catamaran if ever there was one, technical, athletic, but easy to use, so the legs can follow each other easily. So the spectators can understand easily, the legs will take place according to a simple plan...
10 crews will be short listed to take part in these Champions Races - all the top skippers and Tornado specialists.
The Lindau Champions Race on Lake Constance will take place on 1st and 2nd September. The Rostock Champions Race, still in Germany, will be held on 6th and 7th October.
