On a modern catamaran, the various elements of the propulsion system are essential to allow good transmission of the engine power to the propeller, and thus propel your boat in the way it deserves.
Wenex Equipements has just launched an innovative range of couplings/transmissions on the market. SigmaDrive is a constant velocity coupling, which acts as both a coupling and a thrust bearing, allowing the engine to operate with up to 8° of misalignment (4° in each direction), and thus considerably reducing the noise and vibration transmitted to the hull. As play in the alignment of a propulsion system is normal, and grows over time, this new equipment will quickly become essential!
Finally, SigmaDrive can take very high powers, with engines of up to 1300hp. More than enough for your cat...
