A Rider for the disabled
18/07/2012
The Rider CS range of catamarans allows fast cruising in motor boats of from 6.2m to 9.5m, which are pleasant, very versatile and can be customised.
The builder has now just developed a few options allowing people with reduced mobility to embark easily and be completely independent: we therefore find the possibility of side doors and/or an aft ramp to embark/disembark simply, without leaving the wheelchair, and without needing external assistance to operate a crane or stabilise the boat. Aboard, the floor is completely flat (no steps, no coamings…) and a disabled person can move freely around the boat in a wheelchair, whilst taking advantage of the integrated anchor points to secure it if necessary. Finally, the steering position and the 'controls' are directly accessible in a wheelchair... Enough for everyone, both able-bodied and disabled, to enjoy a very nice hull...
