The project draws in particular on the offshore sailing experience of the Sailing Dawn Hunters team, while naval architecture has been entrusted to South African firm Du Toit Yacht Design.
Measuring 49' (15 m) in length, this new catamaran shares the technical platform of the Max 48, including its propulsion, power generation and energy storage systems, which have already been proven at sea. The aluminum structure prioritizes strength and durability, incorporating watertight bulkheads, while the overall design emphasizes safety, equipment redundancy and self-sufficiency.
Max Cruise Marine is responsible for construction, systems integration, testing and finishing, drawing in particular on its previous experience building commercial and military vessels. The first hull is expected in 2027.
