Founded by Ana Čalić, who is also Chief Commercial Officer of Croatian company Navela, this international platform aims to promote the role of women, exchanges and knowledge-sharing within the marine industry. Its activities are not limited to this annual event, with a podcast, magazine and mentoring program also available.
For 2026, the format is evolving, with two practical workshops and five round-table discussions complementing the conferences and presentations. Topics announced include the future of the Adriatic, tourism and sustainable development, expertise, as well as autonomous navigation and artificial intelligence. The program will also address the importance of personal image in business relationships and the role of marine media in shaping perceptions of our industry. The idea, therefore, is not simply to listen to speakers, but to encourage discussion, small-group work and networking.
The first day will be mainly devoted to conferences, while December 4 will place greater emphasis on the practical program and networking groups. This approach is consistent with Women in Nautica’s mission: connecting established professionals with the next generation while improving the representation of women in the marine industry.
