All-Electric Archipelago 40

An Aluminum Adventurer

NEW
Based on the Archipelago 40, previously powered by two internal combustion engines or a hybrid system, this 100% electric version has been completely redesigned to house a high-capacity battery system totaling 600 kWh, with 8 kWp of solar panels (integrated into the top of the coachroof, on the side decks, and the superstructures), and powerful 250 kW ePropulsion motors.
This model can accommodate up to six people and is designed primarily for Mediterranean-style boating. The vessel is expected to reach a top speed of around 22 knots (compared to 30 for the ICE version).

NYX 42CEP

Full Electric or Hybrid

NEW
This new model places the emphasis on onboard comfort, with generous living spaces, a forward door, fold-down aft bulwarks and a conservative sail area-to-displacement ratio of 7.5 m²/t. The main attraction of the 42CEP, however, is its propulsion system, which is fully electric as standard. The designers expect cruising speeds in the region of 7.5 to 8 knots. Range at 5 knots is quoted at 50 nautical miles, increasing to 80 nautical miles with the optional battery package. For long-distance cruisers, the builder also offers a hybrid system, extending range to more than 1,000 nautical miles. The integration of 4 kWp of solar panels and the substantial payload capacity (quoted at 4 t) are also noteworthy. The NYX 42CEP is scheduled to make its world premiere at the next Cannes Yachting Festival.

Vaan R4

Style, Aluminum, and Electric Drivetrain

NEW
The aluminum catamaran that we discovered just over three years ago in Hellevoetsluis, in the south of the Netherlands, is without doubt one of the only 40-foot catamarans on the market to adopt this robust, 100% recyclable material. Vaan Yachts’ eco-responsible approach is also reflected in the use of electric motors and the adoption of non-polluting and/or recyclable materials, such as the highly successful new headlinings fitted to the R4 #2 presented at Cannes in 2024. The R4 was the first model from Vaan Yachts, though the shipyard now offers a full range up to 78 feet in length.

Builder: Vaan Yachts
Length: 42’ (12.8 m)
Beam: 23’2” (7.06 m)
Draft: 4’3”/6’5” (1.3/1.95 m)
Displacement: 24,000 lbs (10.9 t)
