Balance 502 CC

The 482 Only Better!

NEW
This new model from Balance Catamarans is taking over from the 482. But let’s be clear from the outset: this is no mere marketing restyling with slightly extended sugarscoops, but is in fact, a profound evolution. Starting with the structure, daggerboards and rudders, now in carbon/epoxy, and then focusing on the new optional hybrid propulsion system, Integrel Versadrive. The combination of the electric motors providing under-sail hydrogeneration, the 3 kWp of solar panels and the 36 kWh battery promises fuel savings of around 25%.

Cure 48GT

Lightweight and Powerful Under Sail

NEW
Now part of the McConaghy Group, Cure Marine is stepping up a gear following the launch of the highly successful Cure 55 and now presents a complete range, beginning with the new Cure 48GT.
“Sail faster, stay longer” is the builder’s motto, and this model is clearly positioned as a muscular rival to HH and Outremer catamarans. Carbon fiber is used extensively throughout the boat, while the relatively short, aft-positioned nacelle and an impressive sail area-to-displacement ratio of 13.33 m²/t underline its performance-oriented character. The rigid bimini - without a flybridge, of course - can accommodate up to 2.5 kWp of solar panels. The interior layout features an L-shaped galley to starboard with a central island, a saloon opposite, and a forward-
facing navigation station/office. The twin helm stations are located in the cockpit.

Builder: Cure Marine
Length: 50’1” (15.26 m)
Beam: 27’9” (8.45 m)
Draft: 4’3”/7’5” (1.3/2.25 m)
Sail Area: 1,399 sq ft (130 m²)
Displacement: 20,940 lbs (9.5 t)
Powertrain: Hybrid

Lagoon 51 Iconic

The Overlapping Genoa Makes a Comeback!

Presented in 2022, the Lagoon 51 is in fact an evolution of the 50. But what’s new about it? We note that the sugarscoops are significantly longer and especially are equipped with a bit of an overhang. The raised helm station and the sunbathing areas, still accessible from both sides, have been transformed into a real flybridge, completed by a front sun lounging space. The builder has also managed to integrate 2.7 kWp of solar panels. The big surprise is that the rig is now stepped right at the front of the coachroof, and we see the return of the overlapping genoa. With its new look, the 51 is now available in Florida colors under the name Iconic and is now available with an optional hybrid propulsion system.

Builder: Lagoon
Length: 50’4” (15.35 m)
Beam: 26’7” (8.1 m)
Draft: 4’7” (1.4 m)
Displacement: 43,430 lbs (19.7 t)
Sail area: 1,604 sq ft (149 m²)
Powertrain: 2 x 35 kW
