2026 Multipower Buyer's Guide

70 to 80 feet

The luxury multihull sector certainly doesn’t seem to be experiencing a crisis: orders are even increasing every year. In addition to one-offs designed and built to order, builders are now launching small series production runs. The likes of Fountaine Pajot, Iliad Catamarans, McConaghy Boats and VisionF Yachts (to name just a few of the larger yards) are now joining Sunreef and Lagoon in this sector. The advantages of these two- or three-hull platforms seem to be convincing: stability, XXL living space and layout possibilities are appealing to yachtsmen who have come from monohulls, but also to newcomers to (large) yachting. More and more projects, bigger and bigger units are being launched, and innovation knows no bounds: this is the world of dream multipowers!

Nauticks NN68

A Complete Range of Powercats

NEW
Greek builder Nauticks offers a complete range of 5 powercats from 48 to 80 feet. Each model is characterized by very different and innovative hull porthole cut-outs - with the exception of the Nauticks 68 presented here, whose vertical rectangular windows are somewhat reminiscent of Sunreef. The shipyard has deliberately opted for the very high-end sector, with great flexibility for customization. The deck layout has been optimized to offer the largest possible surface area, with a foredeck that joins the two straight bows and an aft platform that can be lowered to the level of the sugarscoop to form an enormous beach club area. Inside, the nacelle offers spectacular volume, while each hull houses two luxurious cabins.

FPY 70

Replacing the Power 67

NEW
Following in the wake of the Alegria (the sailboat version), the Power 67 has enjoyed a successful commercial career, but the yard has now unveiled her successor, the FPY 70. Note that the names of the new models have changed, retaining just “FP” for Fountaine Pajot, of course, but also adding a discreet “Y” for Yacht. Like the 67, this new model is the power version of her sailing twin, the FPY 70s. Obviously, it’s not just the rig and deck hardware that have disappeared - the 150 or 195 HP motors have been upgraded to 300 HP, and even 600 HP as an option, while the fuel tanks have gained an additional 925 US gallons (3,500 liters). On deck, a jacuzzi has been installed forward of the coachroof to port, and the flybridge offers 333 square feet (31 m²) of space. Inside, the architects promise a 279 sq ft (26 m²) owner’s suite.

Builder: Fountaine Pajot
Architect: Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design
Length overall: 72’2” (22 m)
Beam: 32’11” (10.03 m)
