The unmissable Multihull of the Year contest, organized by Multihulls World magazine and our French language edition, Multicoques Mag, along with the International Multihull Show, took place at La Grande Motte on April 12. During the party organized by our partners Sevenstar Yacht Transport at the great multihull get-together that four of the nominees became winners. More than 250 exhibitors attended the event in the VIP tent. The event, presented by Emmanuel van Deth, our editor, and Gwen Dorning, our marketing director, was shown in real time on social media and was of course the subject of a video put up on YouTube and our social media that same evening. The WINNER 2023 banners and stickers were handed over to the shipyard representatives, who were all there including Artur Poloczanski, press relations officer for Sunreef Yachts who had made the trip to France specially!
The next morning, the winning multihulls being exhibited at the show were quick to get their banners on display despite the very windy conditions.
Let’s remember that the MOTY is a unique election in two ways: it is a competition exclusively for multihulls (sail and power) from all over the world, and above all it is YOU, readers, sailors, racers and especially users of the nominated multihulls, who choose the winners. Our dedicated website www.MultihullOfTheYear.com, saw thousands of you cast your votes. On the back of the success of this year’s event, we’re starting to get everything ready for the 7th Edition, and we’d like to thank all our loyal partners – some of whom have been supporting us since the very first edition, kudos to them!
