The Multihull of the Year is your election, not ours. It’s you, the reader, internet user, multihull enthusiast and visitors to the show who will choose your favorite catamaran or trimaran. After all, on all the world’s seas and oceans, the users of these multihulls are you! And the enthusiasm of the nominated builders – and even more so the delight of the happy winners – confirms the legitimacy of this nautical event, the only one able to bring together the whole of the 2018/2019 international production of multihulls.

The ground rule of this election is very simple: First, our journalists and the organizers of the International Multihull Boat Show nominated 16 multihulls, divided into four categories: under 40 feet, 40 to 55 feet, over 55 feet and Power Cat. In order to be nominated, the boats need to meet some simple criteria: they must have two or three hulls (or more – we’ve seen it all!) and must have been launched between the last Multihull Boat Show, in April 2018, and the upcoming one.

But before you vote, you have the option to find out all about the nominated multihulls: find their full presentation easily in our buyer’s guide – MW 163 – thanks to the ‘Multihull of the Year’ logo.

You have everything you need? Then time to vote now! You have until April 23rd to visit the website dedicated to this event – www.MultihulloftheYear.com

All you have to do is pick one multihull per category.

The official results will be announced on April 25th at La Grande Motte, during the 10th edition of the International Multihull Boat Show.

Under 40 feet

DRAGONFLY 32 EVOLUTION

A folding trimaran which has opted for floats with inverted bows.

F40-XX

Nacelle opens up onto the cockpit, and three versions available

TRICAT 20

This is the only trimaran in this election. Fast and folding, the clever multihull!

TS3

Part sport cat, part cruiser: a tempting program, at top speed.

40 à 55 pieds

ASTREA 42

A nice ocean cruising machine, easy to maneuver, comfortable and agile under sail.

DUFOUR 48

After the Nautitechs, Dufour presents a multihull again – the prototype of the 48 was unveiled at Cannes, last September.

LAGOON 46

A lot of pressure for this new model which replaces the Lagoon 450, the most-sold cruising catamaran in the world (1,000 examples soon!).

BALI 5.4

The flagship of the range succeeds in housing six nice cabins. It also offers a tilting door and a watertight door for direct access from one cockpit to the other.

Over 55 feet

ALEGRIA 67

More than 20 examples of Fountaine Pajot’s flagship have been sold since its launch…is the owner’s suite equipped with a private Jacuzzi one of the reasons?

GUNBOAT 68

The legend is back! And the first tests seem to guarantee untouched sailing pleasure.

MC CONAGHY 60

Carbon everywhere for exceptional performance, not forgetting the very modern, very far aft, helm station.

SUNREEF 60

Very close to the Sunreef 80 from a design and concept point of view, the 60 is up there with the superyachts, or almost – with easy maneuvering in bonus.

Power Cat

AQUILA 30

It represents all the standards of motor boating on just one hull…but its stability and its XXL deck plan are those of a cat!

EUPHORIE 5

A very successful power version of the Privilège Série 5. This model’s ‘plus’: it can be customized on request.

FOUNTAINE PAJOT MY 40

After the 37 and the 44, here comes a third model, just as comfortable, seaworthy and fast (over 20 knots top speed).

OPEN 40 SUNREEF POWER

A breathtaking design, exceptional performance and fold-down hull sides in the anchorage – it’s a bit like the guest star of the latest boat shows!
