Although the CL Yachts brand was launched in 2018, the Cheoy Lee shipyard that runs it was founded back in the 1870s. The factory moved to Hong Kong in 1936 and an office was opened in Fort Lauderdale in 1998. Suffice to say that this builder can claim a certain amount of experience...
However, it has never offered a multihull before, so the announcement of this first multihull yacht at FLIBS did not go unnoticed. The CLC 115 stands out with its three decks, its composite construction made using vacuum infusion in a single piece, and its RINA Yacht Class certification.
For the powertrain, the manufacturer opted for a pair of 1,300 HP MAN V8 engines, but a hybrid propulsion system will be offered as an option. The CLC 115 will also be able to generate electricity thanks to a large surface area of solar panels.
The layout is spacious, with an owner’s suite that spans the entire width of the main deck, four guest cabins, and a sixth cabin that can be customized.
