There’s still some doubt as to whether the flagship of McConaghy’s “historic” range will be attending the Cannes Yachting Festival, as the show itself is announcing the 68 (86 backwards, maybe?) and then goes on to describe the 86...
Well, we’re placing our bets: it’s definitely the MC86 in the Open Flybridge version that we’ll be discovering. This model, also available with a closed upper deck, remains faithful to McConaghy’s distinctive exterior design and performance requirements.
The multiyacht is fully customizable: owners can tailor the interior layout and equipment to their wishes thanks to a wide range of bespoke options offered by the shipyard. A genuine fast cruising catamaran, the MC86 offers great range under power, and its central carbon daggerboards, which plunge up to 20 feet (6 meters!) below the surface, allow it to excel when sailing close to the wind.
