Nautitech Enters Court-Supervised Restructuring

A New Start... Under Supervision

Nautitech Catamarans, based in Rochefort, has announced that it has entered court-supervised restructuring proceedings, a process described by management as a framework designed to ensure business continuity while seeking a buyer or new investor.

The builder states that production, deliveries and after-sales service are continuing, with an order book providing visibility through summer 2027, depending on the model.

The announcement comes just a few months after the commercial launch of the Nautitech 41 Type S (see our full test in MW209). The builder says it had already delivered the first four boats before the summer shutdown and plans to continue its presentation tour in September, notably in Southampton, Saint-Tropez and La Rochelle.

The positive reception given to the 41 Type S naturally provides some grounds for optimism regarding the future of the brand. This model, which complements and renews the range alongside the 44 Open and 48 Open, appears to meet the expectations of Owners looking for a catamaran that feels livelier at the helm than its main competitors in the 40- to 42-foot range.

However, as always with this type of procedure, the situation remains delicate. While court-supervised restructuring provides a framework intended to preserve the company and organize its takeover, it can also place pressure on the shipyard’s suppliers, subcontractors and partners, some of whom may see their outstanding invoices frozen or deliveries suspended while awaiting clarification of the situation. The challenge over the coming months will therefore be twofold: confirming the commercial success of the new 41 Type S while securing the entire network of businesses surrounding Nautitech.
