New 41

Announcing the replacement for the Isla 40!

At Fountaine Pajot’s press conference held on the eve of the opening of the Cannes Yachting Festival, the builder announced its next new model, a 41-foot sailing catamaran.

Due for launch in a year’s time, this catamaran is being positioned as the replacement for the Isla 40, an entry-level multihull that remained fairly basic – itself derived directly from the Lucia 40 (launched in 2016). The features offered by the 41 will be more flattering, with a double helm/sail maneuvering station, a large sunlounging area on the bimini and another one forward of the coachroof, a large surface area of solar panels (producing 2 to 2.3 kWp), a large opening hatch at the forward end of the nacelle and slightly angled aft berths. The New 41, whose real name should soon be revealed, will be available with either an internal combustion drivetrain or electric propulsion.
