Powercat production is also set to benefit from a new 107,640 sq ft (10,000 m²) facility in Ajman, a clear sign of the group’s commitment to expanding its multihull business.

The first model to usher in this evolution, the new SilverCat 47 from the Family Series, has been developed entirely by the builder’s in-house design office. The shipyard promises a stronger stylistic identity, more contemporary layouts and an upgraded interior.

At 47' (14.32 m) long with a beam of 16'2" (4.92 m), the 47 features a more generous length-to-beam ratio than the brand’s previous models. This directly benefits the aft cockpit, which is presented as one of the largest in its class. Optional fold-down bulwarks further increase the terrace area at anchor, while an automatic swim ladder provides easy access to the water. Forward, a second protected lounge can accommodate up to eight people.

Inside, large panoramic windows and a wide-opening sliding door provide excellent continuity between the saloon and cockpit. The brand also promises higher-quality materials and finishes. Nevertheless, the newcomer retains the typical SilverCat architecture: relatively slender hulls, outboard propulsion and a focus on achieving a good balance between speed, stability and range. Maximum power reaches 2 × 800 hp, while the impressive 600 US gal (2,270 l) fuel capacity confirms ambitions extending well beyond simple day boating.
This new generation will also provide the basis for the evolution of the rest of the range. SilverCat is also taking a first step toward eco-design: the 47 uses an rPET foam core made from 100% recycled plastic.
