In the middle of the Atlantic, the solo sailor is still dealing with a few thunderstorms that require frequent course changes and maneuvers. Reefing the sails, shaking out reefs, dodging squalls and staying alert are all part of the routine. Nothing unusual for an ocean crossing, but certainly enough to keep him busy throughout the day!
The good news is that the catamaran is performing perfectly, and its skipper is managing his fatigue well. "The boat is responding really well. And I'm not too tired myself," Éric tells us, clearly delighted with his progress.
And whenever the sun breaks through the clouds, the ocean puts on another show. A flying fish suddenly appears in the distance, even interrupting his message!
With less than 2,000 miles to go, Éric is keeping a smile on his face and calmly continuing his solo, nonstop adventure without using the engines for propulsion.
