Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah are taking advantage of the Monaco Yacht Show to announce the creation of the UAE Yachting Alliance. For the first time, the tourism authorities of the three emirates will work together to promote the United Arab Emirates as a single yachting destination rather than a succession of independent stopovers.

The agreement notably includes the creation of cruising itineraries linking the three emirates to facilitate yacht movements and encourage both Owners and charter operators to extend their stays. The idea is naturally to take advantage of the complementary nature of the destinations: highly developed marinas and waterfronts in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, islands and cultural sites, as well as the beaches and mountainous landscapes of Ras Al Khaimah.
The collaboration will also cover international promotion, with a joint presence at boat shows and events dedicated to marine tourism, as well as shared marketing campaigns. More interestingly for recreational boaters, the three partners have also announced plans to work on simplifying procedures for superyachts.
This new alliance comes as all three emirates are investing heavily in their marine infrastructure.
