Presented as a world preview at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, the WildKat takes a deliberately simple and accessible approach, somewhere between a small cruising sailboat, a kayak and a camper van. This little catamaran was actually built by Guillaume Turbec in a simple garage.

At 20' (6.1 m) long, just 8'3" (2.52 m) wide and with a claimed weight of 1,323 lb (600 kg), it is designed to be transported on a trailer with a standard driving license. Its unusual central pod between the two hulls notably houses rollers designed to make beaching and moving the boat across a beach or launch ramp easier. But one of the most original features is found aft in the starboard hull: seated in front of the instruments, you can lift part of the cockpit floor and… paddle! Hence the K in WildKat, a nod to the kayak.
The junk rig follows the same philosophy. The freestanding carbon mast consists of two sections which, once dismantled, are stowed on dedicated supports along with the rolled-up sail. This is a practical configuration for transport, but also for cruising on canals and passing beneath bridges. On board, the accommodation is inevitably simple, but provides a genuine living space with a pop-up roof, kitchenette, cooler powered by a small portable power station and a double berth.
The prototype has also helped identify a few changes: the production model is notably expected to gain around 16" (40 cm) aft, as the davits are currently too close to the entrance to the living area. Sales are scheduled to begin in 2027, notably with a wood/epoxy kit version intended for amateur construction. The hull kit is now priced from € 10,000 ex-tax.
