Wildkat 6.10

A Trailerable, Affordable Catamaran for Coastal Cruising

After fifteen months of building single-handedly in a simple garage, Guillaume Turbec has just launched the Wildkat 6.10, a compact cruising catamaran that brings the spirit of vanlife to boating.

Designed to be transported on a trailer with a standard driving license, this ultralight multihull focuses on ease of use, low energy consumption and access to the most remote anchorages. Its concept combines three modes of propulsion: a 172 sq ft (16 m²) junk sail, solar-powered electric propulsion and… a paddle.

With a draft of just 12" (0.3 m), the Wildkat can explore coastal waters as well as lakes and canals, while the unstayed freestanding mast can be quickly stepped or unstepped, even at anchor. The lifting roof transforms the interior into a genuine living space, with comfortable headroom, a kitchenette, refrigerator, sink with running water, convertible table and a 6'7"×6'7" (2×2 m) berth. Two solar panels provide energy autonomy for the onboard equipment, which also includes lighting, basic electronics and electric charging.

The Wildkat 6.10 is scheduled to go on sale in 2027, both as a wood/epoxy kit for amateur construction and as a ready-to-sail version. The prototype will make its world premiere at the Grand Pavois La Rochelle.

Pricing is intended to remain accessible, starting at € 10,000 ex-tax for the hull kit and ranging from € 60,000 to € 80,000 ex-tax for the complete catamaran, depending on equipment level.
