An evolution of the Andaman 42 sailing version, the X44ecopower has hulls more adapted for engine use. Gilles Reigner, who has been at the helm of the Thai shipyard for the past two years, has opted for a sensible powertrain of 2 x 110 hp, or 2 x 40 kW electric (with 325 sq ft / 30 m² of solar panels and diesel generator) in order to comfortably do 15 knots and to keep maintenance costs under control. The roof over the flybridge is retractable in order to pass beneath bridges. The strong point of this model is its particularly attractive starting price compared to its competitors of the same length.
