Sailing La Vagabonde Micronesia: The exploration continues

The famous Australian YouTubers had given themselves six months to explore Micronesia, in the southwestern North Pacific Ocean. We left them in Guam and on the deserted atolls of Pohnpei, where they explored a shipwreck. They decided to spend two months in Palau, a country also located in Micronesia, east of Mindanao (Philippines) and north of West New Guinea (Indonesia).

A two-month stopover for Elayna, Riley, and their two sons, Darwin and Lenny. This gave the children a chance to go to school and allowed some of the crew who remained on board to carry out maintenance on the trimaran: engine servicing, sail repairs, repainting the dinghy, and various minor electrical repairs, including the installation of a panel to better manage the use of Starlink. Finally, the solar panels were also optimized to increase electricity production.
The family was delighted to return to their trimaran, which had been adapted with a sail that would provide shade, essential for lowering the temperature in these equatorial regions. Other new equipment would also improve comfort on board: a saltwater pump and tap, a fruit net, wall radios, a paper towel holder - every detail counts! Riley also gave Elayna a manual espresso machine: a bit bulky, but very handy since it doesn’t use electricity!
A new crew member, the young Lydia, replaced Josephine to look after the children and was given a personal video introduction – stardom here she comes! The young teacher was delighted, as she had been following the family’s adventures on social media for a long time.
After a day spent exploring a cave, the trimaran set sail again – the crew is re-energized. The direction is decided by a game: they spin a cardboard wheel that points the way: it will be south of Palau, a zone scattered with countless islands and archipelagos.
This is an opportunity to stop and dive, and to encounter round-headed parrotfish and dolphins. Lenny is learning his seafaring skills at the helm, ...
