Duo ot solo ? Most sports catamarans can, depending on the circumstances be sailed by two people, or where light winds permit, singlehandedly. The large sail surfaces and long hulls are sometimes difficult to manage for one person, especially if the wind starts blowing strongly and the sea is choppy. The limits of utilisation for single-handed sailing lies in the relationship between the sail surface and weigt as much as in the real possibility of the craft capsizing and the lone-sailor having to bring it up again.
