Presented at Nice Boating Tomorrow by Victor Nave for E-Nav Systems, the M10 electric outboard was developed by Momentum, a young brand based in Singapore.
With its 10 kW output, equivalent to a combustion engine of around 20 hp, the M10 is clearly aimed at tender use. In this segment, expectations are well defined: ease of use, range and reliability. The first striking point is the installation.
The system is offered as a package including the motor and its lithium battery (M6 model), connected by a single cable. Installation requires no specific tools, following a plug-and-play approach. “The idea is to keep it as simple as a conventional petrol outboard,” explains Victor Nave.
Under way, the M10 covers the usual tender requirements: reaching the harbour, handling trips around the anchorage or carrying out everyday transfers. At moderate speed, the claimed range is impressive, reaching up to 17 to 18 hours at 5 knots. The motor is also designed for more dynamic use over shorter periods, with speeds in the region of 15 to 20 knots. The M10 is suitable both for practical utility use and more recreational boating.
Handling remains simple and intuitive, with a multi-position trim adjustment that can be set in seconds depending on conditions, load or intended use.
The M10 is available in three shaft lengths - up to 64 cm - to suit different transom heights.
