Who hasn’t witnessed a port entry punctuated by shouting, or an anchoring operation where everyone struggles to understand each other’s gestures? With Nautitalk, these scenes will now be a thing of the past.
Designed for boating, Nautitalk headsets provide clear and stable communication between all crew members in all circumstances, whether for family cruising, a school trip, or a sailing race. No need to raise your voice to be heard over the noise of the wind and/or the motors: everyone stays calm, orders are given without tension, and maneuvers are obviously smoother.
A global leader in outdoor sports (cycling, motorcycling, etc.), the Korean brand Sena is now entering the boating world with the Nautitalk range.
The major advantage of these headsets is the use of Mesh Intercom™ technology, a mesh network system that is more reliable and more flexible than Bluetooth. Whereas Bluetooth relies on limited and often unstable point-to-point connections, Mesh establishes a dynamic architecture: each device becomes a relay, new users are automatically integrated, and the conversation remains continuous, even if a member of the group momentarily moves out of range. No cellphone coverage is required, and setup is done with a single click.
Two models are available in the range:
Nautitalk Bosun: floating and waterproof (IP67), it has a range of up to 1.6 km (0.9 nautical miles), with multiple channels for organizing several groups of crew members.
Nautitalk N2R: equipped with hearing protection (-28 dB), it combines comfort and safety in noisy environments and can extend the network range up to 4.4 km (2.4 nm) with multiple users.
